Kizomba Classes

Kizomba is a music style and partner dance originating from Angola, Africa that has been gaining popularity in Europe over the last 5 years. Kizomba, a derivative of Semba (another Angolan music and dance style) is a respectful but intimate dance form that emphasizes close contact and certain techniques similar to those in Argentinian Tango. Typically, Kizomba is danced to the beat of the music, although the leader can choose which beats he prefers to dance on. This is a slow, close dance that appeals to people of all dance backgrounds, ages, and skill levels.

Kizomba 1 – Beginner course

For those entering the world of partner dancing for the first time, Kizomba is an appealing first choice because the basics are comfortable to grasp and can be enjoyed on the dance floor in a shorter amount of time than some other dances.

Kizomba 2 – Intermediate course

For experienced dancers, the subtle intricacies of Kizomba make intermediate-level dance a fun and complex challenge that helps to develop skills that can be applied to all other partner dances. This is a more highly advanced Kizomba course for those with previous experience. We recommend that you taking Kizomba 1 before moving on to Kizomba 2.
